ylho'mMK~郭瑛 2006年春夏系列

今日去過Grotto睇郭瑛的展覽，未去之前自己嘗試根據很多年前的印象來推想她現時的面貌，大概怎樣怎樣……
走進畫廊，看見了一些貌似家居用品的作品，走近看清楚才知道是手繪圖案，重複又重複地畫，形象有些似青花，有些似古樸器物；整體上跟以前有一脈相連的發展關係。現時的特徵看來是傾向乾淨和中國化。作品大致上都很整潔，唯一比較突兀的一件作品是那由幾張掛軸組成的大畫，不知這樣稱呼是否合適，看起來是組合不成，卷曲變形得很厲害，給人有點失控的感覺。

在展場逗留的時間不算長，印象中還有一兩件小作品放在某角落還未搞清楚，本來就沒有打算在這裡寫些什麼。離開的時候，奇怪地很順手便拿了張邀請吉，在車上跟朋友研究了一會，發覺很有問題。

我向來都很怕介紹自己的作品，不論是口講還是寫字同樣都怕。如果可以不做或者有人可以幫忙，感覺會舒服些。原因大概有好幾個，都是一些沒有什麼特別的理由。不知郭瑛這段短短的介紹是誰寫的，我讀了這段文字之後便開始懷疑郭英做curator的能力；這樣就給它出街，我繼而懷疑畫廊的能力。這張邀請吉似做反宣傳，如果這不是兩者原先的想法，郭瑛跟畫廊未免太輕率了吧！不知其他人有沒有同感呢？ ylho

Writing on what I did on Thurs, alright, let's see, I got up late again, heads off to Midtown library, for the bksales, brought another issue of NAJP journal, for only because it's really cheap, a 75cents, most of the articles I am not really interested, my impression on this bunch of people isn't too gd, I guess. But happened to notice even Micheal kimmelman is a quite recent graduate. Everyone has to have some papers these days, even someone at NYTimes (I assume he is on the job already when studying)?
Then find there is a Ballet Russe video screening which I couldn't catch in time, I walked across to Central library to see the surprisingly gd show of French Book Art. from Marllarme-Manet onwards, to e.g. Batialle with Masson, even Batialle with A Giacometti! Artaud to Guy Debord ... really a great feast. (Will write later on the chicago experience on Art Book of my last trip later on, which Phoebe from AAA once told me to write a long time ago.) Then in the smaller corridor gallery, there is some recent acquistion, including two great t. Struth shot of New York, and others like Meyerowitz and Arbus.
Then I visited the Gotham Books nearby, a really gd literary bk stores, reminding me of the time when I read and read writers like Maria Varga llosa. missed those times much.

由「大紐約地區『六四』紀念委員會」主辦的「六四」17週年紀念晚會，將於2006年6
月4日下午6：30至9：30在42街中國領事館前舉行。屆時，八九民運的當事人和「六四」屠
城的見證人以及為民主而奮鬥的知名人士，將先後在晚會上發表演講。晚會還將播出與「六
四」相關的錄影資料、音樂、歌曲等。6月3日，在法拉盛圖書館前將有關於「六四」的圖片
展覽。

「六四」屠城槍聲猶在，血跡淚水未乾。歷史的印跡不可磨滅，歷史的回聲成為永遠。
死難者沉冤未雪，民族的傷痛依然。我們不曾忘記，未敢忘懷。一年一度，我們在這裡集會，
我們在這裡默哀，我們在這裡吶喊。哀悼民主先烈，抗議監禁迫害：呼喚良知覺醒，譴責中
共暴行。

今年6月4日，我們將與香港支聯會同步，以「紀念六四，支援維權」為主題，舉辦紐約
地區紀念「六四」17週年活動，同時聲援國內維權運動，支援民眾和平抗爭。我們強烈要求
中共，立即和無條件釋放所有政治犯，調查屠城，追究責任，停止迫害，還政於民。

我們誠邀和歡迎所有熱愛祖國、渴望自由、追求真理的人們，支持，參與，和出席今年
度的「六四」紀念晚會。深切追緬「六四」英烈，同聲呼喚正義良知。
